PL-LINE is a store in the city centre of Maastricht, the Netherlands, that sells multiple brands and started in 1993 as an official retailer of brands like Stone Island and Prada. PL-LINE relocated to its current location at Bredestraat 7 & 9 to attract new brands and stimulate its fashion offerings. The store is now housed in a 17th-century building with a rich cultural history, where old architecture meets new art through fashion.

We were tasked by PL-LINE to redesign their webshop and build it in Shopify. The challenge was to blend the classic architecture of the store with the modern vision of the brands and target audience. To simulate the atmosphere of a physical store in the digital flagship store, we utilised the architectural attributes, the glas gradients, blur, serif and sans-serif fonts as the juxtaposition between old and new.
