Business Development Manager

We are looking for a talented dutch-speaking go-getter who will manage business accounts at the intersection of innovation and design at our Amsterdam Office. You will be the initial point of contact to our prospects; building relationships; educating the market, and playing a crucial role in expanding our customer base. You are an experienced Business Developer who dares to take risks and speaks their mind, has a positive attitude and you act proactively. You have a strong affinity with creative solutions and the Dutch Design methodology.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Grow accounts and the agency’s impact on their business
  • Build trust and become a valued advisor to our clients
  • Overseeing all activity within an account and their organisation
  • Generate necessary insights from the client (e.g. to create a project brief/scope), even when it’s tough to get their cooperation
  • See and find opportunities in the relationship or the provided service
  • Sell recommendations back to our clients that are in their best interest
  • Manage an account review, disputes, mistakes, etc.
  • Read social signals and proactively intervene before catastrophe strikes
  • You feel comfortable being in the middle and managing expectations on both ends
  • Voice customer needs to agency teams and vice versa
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience within the creative industry, preferably an agency
  • Proven and demonstrable track record as an business developer, sales person or account/client manager
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and inspire people
  • You can sell our services by showcasing our cases, way of working, and culture to (potential) accounts
  • Solution-oriented and outcome driven
  • You make it your business to keep clients happy
  • Does not shy away for difficult conversations
  • Speak and write Dutch and English fluently
