Brand decks
Why the deck is the brand for everyone who was not in the room
Most decisions about a brand are made by people looking at a deck. Investors, buyers, partners and new hires meet the brand as forty slides before they meet it any other way, and they judge the thinking by the way it is presented.
A deck is therefore not decoration applied to an argument. The order of the slides is the argument, and design decides whether it lands in the twelve minutes it is actually given.
Structured as an argument, not an inventory
The deck opens with the point, not the agenda. Every slide earns the next one, and anything that does not move the argument forward moves to the appendix.
One idea per slide, stated in the headline. A reader flipping through at speed should get the whole case from the headlines alone, because that is how decks are actually read.
Density is designed, not accumulated. The numbers that matter get the space; everything else is a footnote or a link, and the deck stays presentable on a laptop, a call and a boardroom screen.
Set in the identity, built as a system
The deck runs on the brand's own typography, colour and image style, so the document proves the identity while it argues the case.
And it is built as a template your team can extend: master slides, chart styles and image rules that keep slide ninety as considered as slide one, whoever adds it.
How DUTCH DESIGN AGENCY approaches brand decks
We start with the argument. What must this audience believe by the end, and what is the shortest honest route there: that outline is agreed before any slide is designed.
We design the system slides first: the type scale, the grid, the chart language and the image treatment, tested against the ugliest real content the deck will have to hold.
Then we build the deck itself and hand over the template with it, in the tool your team presents from, with the rules written into the master rather than a PDF nobody opens.
Why work with DUTCH DESIGN AGENCY?
We design decks inside the identity systems we build, so the fundraise deck, the sales deck and the brand book are recognisably one company rather than three vendors.
And we design for the fourth forward. Decks are shared beyond the room they were made for, and a deck that survives being presented by someone else is worth multiples of one that needs its author.
The room you are not in
The deck argues for the brand in every room the founders never enter. It deserves the same standard as the identity, because for most audiences it is the identity.
Let's build the deck that argues for you.
